1️⃣ Prepare the chicken.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Drying the chicken ensures a golden crust.
2️⃣ Sear the chicken.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown. Internal temperature should reach 75°C (165°F).
Remove and set aside.
Do not overcrowd the pan — cook in batches if needed.
3️⃣ Make the garlic butter base.
Lower heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Avoid browning.
4️⃣ Build the sauce.
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up the browned bits.
Add lemon juice, zest, and Italian seasoning. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.
5️⃣ Return the chicken.
Place chicken back into the skillet. Spoon sauce over each piece.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce slightly thickens.
Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to keep it juicy.
6️⃣ Garnish and serve.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm with extra lemon wedges if desired.
